Matt Phillips

I’m a Software Developer, Father, Husband living in West Des Moines, IA. I enjoy getting lost on random wikipedia articles, 3d Printing, Golfing, Gardening, and making things with my hands. I graduated with a BA in Computer Science from Wartburg College, and have been working professionally as a Software Developer since 2010. I started Phillips Software Development in 2015 to pursue being an independent software consultant, and have worked with clients in the Agriculture, Manufacturing, Finance, and Retail industries. I enjoy solving business problems with simple and efficient solutions, and I strive to use logic and reason to drive my decision making process in everything I do.

My primary expertise and experience is with:
– .NET technologies such as C#, asp.net core, sql server
– React JS web frontend and React Native mobile applications
– Cloud application development on all 3 major providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
– Containerization with Docker and managed Kubernetes (GKE, AKS, ECS)
– Test Driven Development including automated testing
– CI/CD pipelines
